Neurodiversity Week 2025 has been celebrating neurodivergent individuals and raising awareness about conditions including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.

In Leeds, LeedsAutism.org.uk hosted a series of events throughout the week to educate the public and empower neurodivergent individuals.

LeedsAutism.org.uk’s events during Neurodiversity Week provided the community with valuable opportunities to learn more about neurodivergent experiences.

These included workshops, talks, and educational programs designed to increase understanding and promote inclusion.

And Jess Chang, an officer at the Student Union of Leeds Trinity University, said: “I think neurodiversity week is an important week as it helps raise awareness of hidden disabilities and I think people should know more about it as not enough people know about hidden disabilities and how they can affect people.’

She added:‘‘ It’s important for people to spread awareness about neurodiversity as neurodivergent individuals are often judged and often people judge them on what they don’t understand.’’

Leeds Trinity University prides itself in disability support including a tranquillity room in their library for neurodivergent people and students as well as disability services support.
